We are a group of friends and family who loves to work for you dear children! We write and read the stories ourselves. Sometimes we translate a story from another language to Farsi. We also draw the cover pictures for you as we know you like paintings. In this page we introduce ourselves.

Nasim Hajibeik

illustrator, translator and editor

 

Nasim was born and grown up in Tehran, and now resides in Hanover, Germany. After finishing her studies in mechanical engineering in Tehran, she moved to Germany at the age of 25. Before her son was born, she worked as an automotive engineer. She consulted automotive companies and helped them producing safer cars. Nasim was always interested in art, especially painting, cinema and taking pictures. She made a telegram channel, "loobia ghesse-goo" in 2017 along with her mother. In 2018, she launched the website Awastan to read audio books for children in Farsi.

Farzaneh Davati
author, storyteller and public relations
Farzaneh was born on 1957 in Tehran.  During her childhood, she was spending most of her time at the home library of her father reading classic novels. That was the principle motive for her to study English literature in Tehran. Afterwards, she ran an International shipping company that transported goods by sea. Now after many hard working years, she again comes back to her favorite world of books, stories and simplifying Iranian literature for children. She also reads tales and books with the permission of the relevant publication office through loobia-ghessegoo free channel at telegram. She cooperates with the management of Allameh Amini public library in Tehran to arrange story telling sessions for the children of different nurseries and primary schools. Besides, she supports some libraries around Iran with books and encyclopedia.

Maral Dehghani

editor, translator and storyteller

 

 Maral was born in 1978. As a kid, she was a big fan of “Good Stories, for Good Children”. She enjoyed reading, writing and music. She studied Electrical Engineering in Tehran and, after she moved to Canada in 2006, she continued her studies in Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering. She lives in Vancouver and teaches at University. Translating, editing, and sometimes writing stories are her favorite hobbies.

Naghmeh Hajibeik

author and illustrator

 

Naghmeh was born in 1985 in Tehran. She lived and studied in Tehran until she was 22 years old, and then she left Iran to continue her studies in Germany. She completed her graduate studies at Leibniz Universität Hannover with a master's degree in architecture in 2014. She is currently a project controller for diverse buildings projects in different cities in Germany. Since her childhood she was interested in drawing and classic films and these are still her hobbies. Also the memory challenging games fascinate her and she can spend a long time with these games. The graphic novel books are really exciting to her. Her favorite book is Harry potter, but in her opinion the films are unable to keep up to the books. She rides bicycle every day to work and plays squash now and then.

Najmeh Vahed

Najmeh was born in 1980 in Shiraz, where she lived until she was 24. At this age she finished her bachelor studies and moved to Hanover in Germany. She continued her studies in mechanical engineering. Now she works at a German car company as an engineer. She has always been in love with art, especially music and painting. She doesn’t play any music instrument right now, but she can express herself very well through her paintings. She never cares about distance when it comes to visiting an art exhibition, whenever, wherever! She also loves to play tennis.

Golnaz Mohsenzadeh

‌‏Born in Babol and raised in Tehran, Golnaz graduated with a Master in Structural Engineering from Sharif University. In 2012 she moved to Germany to follow her passion in modern architecture. She is now working as a structural designer in different projects around the globe. As a teenager she always enjoyed telling stories for her little sister. Now by managing Awastan‘s social media, she spreads the stories to a lot of lovely children around the world.
